Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the first significant honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he previously was, and would definitely contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
